A Letter From the Irish Hospice Foundation

Some excerpts from a letter written by Tim O’ Dea, Head of Fundraising for the Irish Hospice Foundation:

Dear Salt & Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band,

Everyone is entitled to a dignified, comfortable death. We believe that no one should face death or bereavement without appropriate care and support. Your very generous gift of €2000 will help us achieve this vision. Thank you so much for your support.

As a charity, our work depends on the generosity of people like you. This includes our Hospice Friendly Hospitals (HFH) Programme which aims to put hospice principles into hospital practices.

[…]

Another programme that you are contributing towards is our Children’s Hospice Home Care programme, aimed at developing a comprehensive hospice home care service for children.

[…]

You will also be supporting our night nursing service for non-cancer patients, or work to extend hospice care to people with illnesses other than cancer as well as our training and education programme.

Thank you once again for your support. Our work would not be possible without your generosity.

We’re in the middle of moving our website to a new hosting plan, so you may find a lot of broken links and other things not quite working over the next 24 hours as we wait for things to transfer over.

Thanks for your patience.

Since 1998, Salt & Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band has been proud to support the following charities and organisations: So far, we have raised over €100,000 for these causes through the kind generosity of those who continue to support us by giving up their time and talent.
